We ARE Our Stories!!

Klingon Ambassador Lord Kez and Federation Captain Mark Newport were walking along the Lake Eola walkway in Orlando sharing Morning Greetings, Hi-5's, Handshakes, Wrist Grips, and Intimidating Smiles with Make M Smile's VIP Children and their Buddies.

There are many stories to tell. For now, I will share just one.

While walking, Lord Kez noticed the Medical Tent off to the side of the walkway, apparently provided in case any attendees needed medical assistance. Two paramedics were sitting just in front of the tent, engaged in serious conversation (apparently in anticipation of an unknown impending medical emergency).

Lord Kez made his way over to them, stepping into their space and addressing them clearly and seriously:

"Excuse me, Gentelemen, do either of you know anything about Klingon Anatomy?

The Paramedics, taking their visitor in utmost sincerity, looked at each other with puzzled expressions on their faces, shifting their glances back and forth for several seconds.

"Well...ah...not exactly" stammered one of the Paramedics

Reaching down as if to remove his right shoe and sock, Lord Kez responded with a groan

"I have been walking a bit this morning, and I have this here bunion....and it is killing me....I was hoping for some help"

At that point, the laughter was spontaneous. The Paramedics realized they had been "had" by a Klingon Warrior. Hands were shaken, small talk was exchanged, then all parties went their way, each with a new story to tell, and since we ARE our stories, the day was made richer for us all

We'll have some pictures posted soon. Make M Smile was a great event with over 7000 people attending. Thanks to ALL who joined us. It was a Special Day for Kids with Special Needs.
